A two-story event venue for 50 people

The Barlovento hall is an event venue for groups of up to 50 people. It can be used from 10:30 am to 8:30 pm. It has two floors and a covered terrace, and it is on the same grounds as the cabins and the campsite, so guests can stay a short walk from the venue.

Ground floor: kitchen, dining room and grill area

The ground floor has a spacious kitchen, a dining room and the barbecue area. It is the space for group meals, meetings and celebrations.

Upstairs: restrooms, ping-pong, pinball and a climbing wall

Upstairs are the bathrooms and the games: a ping-pong table, a pinball machine and a climbing wall. It keeps children and adults busy while the barbecue is being prepared. The climbing wall is used under the supervision of the group's adults, without a harness. There is also table football.

Covered terrace

The venue has a private covered terrace, with views of the natural surroundings. You can be outside even when it rains, which is useful in southern Chile.

The quincho has two grills: one outside, on the covered terrace, and one inside, on the ground floor.

Getting there from Puerto Varas, Puerto Montt and Osorno

The venue is at the Barlovento base, at Route 225 km 44, in Ensenada.

From Puerto Varas: 44 km on Route 225

From Puerto Varas, take Route 225 (Ruta 225) toward Ensenada along Lake Llanquihue, about 45 minutes by car. In summer and on weekends, allow 10 to 15 minutes more. The car park has room for about 30 cars and a bus.

From Puerto Montt and Osorno

From Puerto Montt, you get there through Puerto Varas and Route 225: 63 km, about 1 hour by car. The venue is not in Osorno: from that city it is about 1 h 30 min by car.

How many people does the venue hold?

Up to 50 people: the venue has chairs, tables and tableware for 50, an equipped kitchen and two grills in the quincho.

How much does it cost to rent the quincho?

There is no fixed rate: the rental is quoted by the date, the number of people and what you need (the venue only, meals or accommodation). Message us on WhatsApp with those details and we will send you the budget.

Can I rent the quincho for just the day?

Yes: the venue and the quincho are rented as a whole and by the day, from 10:30 am to 8:30 pm. For school trips we make an exception and allow dinner dances until 11:30 pm.

Do I need to stay at Barlovento to use the venue?

No, it is also rented to people who are not staying. If you rent the venue and stay several nights, there are special rates.

Does the rental include food or catering?

We offer a buffet breakfast, and lunch and dinner with a daily set menu, including special diets. The venue kitchen is fully equipped.

Is it suitable for school trips?

Yes. The hall works well as a classroom, and the same base has accommodation and activities for the class.

How far is the venue from Osorno?

It is not in Osorno: from there it is about 1 h 30 min by car. From Puerto Varas it is 44 km on Route 225.

Is there parking and a ground-floor restroom?

Yes. The car park has room for about 30 cars and a bus. The ground floor has an accessible bathroom, and the other bathrooms are upstairs.

Until what time can the venue be used?

It is rented by the day, from 10:30 am to 8:30 pm. For school trips we make an exception and allow dinner dances until 11:30 pm.
